Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Role Overview
Own preventive and breakdown maintenance for conductor manufacturing plant equipment. You will build robust PM schedules, drive reliability improvements, manage spares inventory, and ensure zero unplanned downtime on critical production assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for drawing machines, stranding machines, and pay-off/take-up systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns within target MTTR benchmarks
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination for critical components
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures
- Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across the plant
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities
- Maintain CMMS records and generate monthly reliability reports
Requirements & Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 5–8 years in maintenance roles within manufacturing (wire, cable, or metal industry preferred)
- Expertise in rotating equipment, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic controls
- Experience with CMMS software and SAP PM module is a plus
- Strong understanding of TPM, RCA, and FMEA methodologies
