Production Engineer — Conductors
Role Overview
Lead production operations for ACSR, AAC, and AAAC conductor lines. You will oversee daily output, ensure adherence to IS/IEC standards, drive process improvements, and mentor junior operators in a high-throughput manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily production schedules for conductor lines to meet dispatch targets
- Monitor wire drawing, stranding, and spooling processes for dimensional accuracy and surface quality
- Enforce IS 398, IS 398-5, and IEC 61089 compliance across all production batches
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related downtime events with the maintenance team
- Maintain production logs, MIS reports, and quality checksheet documentation
- Train and mentor junior operators on SOP adherence and safety protocols
- Collaborate with QC for in-process and final inspection sign-offs
Requirements & Qualifications
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Electrical Engineering
- 2–5 years of experience in conductor or wire manufacturing
- Hands-on knowledge of wire drawing, stranding machines, and tension controls
- Familiarity with IS/IEC conductor standards
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
